Billing Operation Associate

The Billing Associate is responsible for managing accurate, timely completion and submission of all billing and accounts receivable functions of the organization. The Billing Associate will work closely with the finance department and must be able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures reimbursement through efficient billing and collections operations and effective accounts receivable management
  • Ensures that billing and customer record systems are maintained in accordance with GAAP and in compliance with state, federal and Joint Commission regulations
  • Gathers, collates and reports key billing information to the Director of Finance
  • Collaborates with the Controller in successfully reconciling the billing system reports with the General Ledger
  • Generates invoices for goods and services, drafting pro forma bills, and updating accounting system to generate bills
  • Creates and issues credit memos per the Director of Finance to reconcile accounts or resolve billing errors
Skills & Requirements

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with SalesForce and/or Netsuite is a plus
  • Billing information systems knowledge preferred
  • Computer literate with intermediate to advanced spreadsheet creation and management skills, solid understanding of accounting software, Microsoft Office products and ERP system experience
  • Excellent administration, time management and project management skills
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision and direction from management
  • Detail oriented, sound judgment and logical decision-making ability with a hands-on approach to assigned tasks
  • Ability to multitask in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and public relations skills
