JOB SUMMARY –

The Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing a keystrategic area of MINDBODY’s core software product. They may be responsible foroverseeing and managing 2-4 more junior product managers to bring strategicproducts to market while obtaining key business objectives. This role isresponsible for overseeing and running scrum teams in charge of large strategicprojects.

 

The Product Manager will be responsible for creating andmaintaining a backlog of work for each product manager, creating business plansbased on market research and data analysis, and pitching these product ideas tosenior management. The Product Manager will be required to work crossfunctionally between the UX Design and Research, Product Managers and Engineeringteams to support the product vision and achieve strategic business objectives.

 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

       Works with direct reports to drive product development fromconceptualization through launch - creating actionable plans, work streams,tactics and deliver on those in support of business KPI’s

       Product manager for one or more product development teams

       Manages other product managers towards execution of theproduct roadmap

       Formulates complex business plans, analyzes the currentcompetitive landscape, focuses on ROI and puts together a strategic productroadmap and pitch to the senior leaders in the company

       Manages the product roadmap for your strategic area, settingexpectations with all relevant stakeholders

       Can operate under limited supervision is provided as thisindividual can operate, drive results, and set priorities independently

       Works with product marketing, design, engineering, projectmanagement, etc. to successfully deliver products to market

       Leverages data/analytics to make tactical and strategicproduct decisions

       Demonstrate favorable results through leadership andinfluencing multiple individuals and groups

       Cultivates a deep understanding of the customer and worktirelessly to identify new opportunities to improve their experience

       Identifies unmet market needs that leverage MINDBODYtechnologies, strengths and market leadership

       Produces and manages usability studies, product metrics,competitive, customer and market analysis into product requirements to identifynew opportunities

       Strives to be a subject matter expert in their strategicfocus area(s) by identifying the challenges our customers’ face and defines newopportunities to improve our customers’ experience

       Builds business cases that satisfy significant market needsand revenue opportunities, is able and willing pitch business cases to seniormanagement and elaborate on the “what” and “why”

       Controls scope of large projects

       Removes business related roadblocks to ensure successproduct delivery on time and within scope

       Gathers customer feedback to determine future iterations;Compares planned success metrics to actuals and ladders up product performance

       Works closely with product marketing, sales, and marketingteams to build go-to-market plans as well as pricing, sales, and marketingstrategy

       Is focused on creating the best possible user experiencewhile also managing ROI

       All other duties as assigned

 

SCOPE OF SUPERVISION/AUTHORITY:

       Duties for this position are performed under limited supervision

       You will be responsible for planning and organizing theirown work, which may or may not be directly related to general businessoperations of the company or its customers

       You will receive training and guidance from manager asneeded

       Individual contributors may be required to regularlyexercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters ofsignificance depending on the nature of the position

       There is no direct management responsibility for theposition

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

       Bachelor’s Degree in a technology or technical related field

       MBA or other graduate-level degree (preferred)

       5 - 10+ years as a ProductManager in a top-tier technology/SaaS company

       2 - 5 + years managing andmentoring other product managers

       Certifications such as Scrum Master or PMP (preferred)

       Proven track record ofsuccessfully managing and releasing complex SaaS products

       Intimate knowledge of key Product Management Principles,Agile Scrum and UX Centered Design principles

       Entrepreneurial spirit / ability to roll up your sleeves andtry different things with minimal direction

       Possesses a unique blend of business and technical savvy; abig-picture vision, the drive to make that vision a reality, and technicallycredible to lead teams of world-class software developers

       Is organized, and can plan, forecast and manage a productbacklog

       Exceptional organizational, analytical and problem-solvingskills

       Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability tocommunicate and work with stakeholders at all levels across the organization

       Experience handling enterprise-level clients/customers(preferred)

       Track record driving and delivering large, complicatedprojects on time and within scope (preferred)

       Subject matter expertise in many different technologymarkets (preferred)

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

       You will need dexterity of hands and fingers to operate acomputer keyboard

       This position is mostly stationary and will be required toremain stationary for extended periods of time

       Specific vision abilities required by this position includeclose vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus

       The noise level in the work environment is usuallymoderately quiet
