This is a dream job for the right person who loves crafting messages that matter in a mission driven environment, where you are empowered and expected to make a difference.  The Sr. Director of Marketing Communications will be the at the center of articulating our core brand message and value props for key audiences; both B2B and Consumer.  Our expectation is for you to innovate and experiment with an eye on getting a little better each day.  While it’s a very rewarding role, there are also high expectations and there will be challenges to overcome, you will need to possess the grit and mindset to drive change and push the organization to new heights.  You won’t have to do it alone and will lead a team of high performing, driven individuals who are focused on making MINDBODY a household name.  This role is responsible for PR, Corporate Messaging, Internal Communication, Crisis Management, Thought Leadership, Influencers and Brand Activation.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of strategic communications experience with deep expertise in rapidly scaling technology enterprises and/or consumer brand
  • 5+ years of leading passionate, high performing marketing professionals, with a mix of B2B and B2C experience
  • Consistently driven to craft effective and engaging messages for internal and external audiences
  • Experience bringing strategies to life through a diverse mix of channels
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex messages, and deliver the core messages to market in a compelling way
  • Highly collaborative leader with cross functional team experience
  • Ability to anticipate and effectively manage change and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven to be results oriented with an understanding on how to measure and report on ROI for all communication efforts
  • Passion to lead with data, demonstrated ability to measure the success of programs for constant improvement, capable of interpreting data to improve effectiveness
  • Proven success in fast-paced environment, as self-motivated individual who thrives in growing fast-paced environment

     

     

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Core responsibility is to develop a cohesive corporate communications strategy that can be deliberately deployed across many channels
  • Work closely with CEO and executive team members to enhance our thought leadership platform; build a plan of action and manage the ongoing execution efforts across various teams and channels
  • Play a key role in articulating our brand strategy and responsibility for creating MINDBODY brand activation programs
  • Lead our in-house communications team and brand activation programs; as well as oversee our earned media strategies
  • Collaborate with team leaders in Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Product Mgt, Engineering, Customer Success, as well as other internal stakeholders to generate impactful content that resonates with MINDBODY’s target audiences
  • Lead and help support our ongoing communication efforts to help break down silos and ensure alignment across our growing, global organization
  • Own our crisis management approach and ensure readiness
  • Measure, monitor, and continually optimize to meet ambitious team KPIs
  • Oversee and inspire a team of high performing communication professionals with vision, guidance, mentorship, and career development support
  • All other duties as assigned
