INVENTORY SPECIALIST 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Inventory Specialist role is a new opportunity in 2020, dedicated to driving DealerSocket’s Inventory+ sales through collaboration with the Franchise Sales organization.  This candidate will assist our sales territories and regions with a deep knowledge of our solution, the industry and our target dealership audience.  This person will represent the Inventory solution in a number of ways, including, but not limited to, revenue-generating sales, internal sales enablement, trade-show attendance and remote/on-site demo delivery.  The Inventory Specialist will also work closely with Product and Marketing teams to explore additional opportunities for future growth.  The Inventory Specialist  will be a key part of our sales success and will be responsible for meeting set metrics and goals that align with the company’s sales objectives.  He/She will report directly to the VP of Sales (East/West), and will work closely with the Inventory business unit GM.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize a customer-focused selling process to identify needs and goals of potential customers
  • Support ESDs and Account Managers in accomplishing their sales goals by serving as the product and automotive experts to demonstrate how Inventory+ will deliver meaningful outcomes for customers
  • Meet and exceed the Inventory Sales objectives
  • Provide input to VP of Sales and RVP on needs associated with tools, trainings and other resources to enable teams to achieve sales goal attainment
  • Partner with the Sales Enablement team to design and deliver ongoing training and knowledgebase updates
  • Establish relationships with automotive dealerships within the assigned territory
  • Establish outside relationships with automotive consultants, vendors and OEMs
  • Utilize Salesforce to maintain accurate records of our clients and activities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of sales experience, software and automotive experience preferred
  • Successful business development background with expertise in conquest lead generation
  • Successful track record of generating/closing sales opportunities
  • High workplace efficiency
  • Ability to consistently fill a pipeline and drive revenue opportunities
  • Perceptive of interpersonal dynamics with the ability to connect with others
  • Skilled presenter and technical/functional communicator
  • Master negotiator and closer
  • Self-motivated and driven by success, strong work ethic and integrity
