Project Manager (Higher Ed)

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring andcontrolling software implementation projects, with new and existing customers, with the overallaccountability for the success for projects.



  • Driving effective hand over from Sales
  • Executing kick-off meeting with customer


  •  Review standard project plan and refine as required to meet the needs and desired outcomes
  • Ensure proper staffing on tasks 
  • Discuss critical project success factors with the customer and gain their buy-in 


  • Regular engagement and communication with project teams to ensure project is progressing as planned
  • Proactively identify and manage key project issues & risks

Monitoring & Controlling

  • Regular review of project plan and other available information to gauge project status
  • Regular review of time reporting to ensure actual work is in line with planned work
  • Execute regular internal and external project status meetings
  • Provide regular written project status updates o Proactive and disciplined escalations of issues and risks that may put the project at risk

Post Go-Live (completion and closure)

  • Execute post project review meeting to identify lessons learned
  • Execute project surveys to obtain the voice of the customer feedback and overall customer satisfaction with the project


  • Proactive engagement and contribution in building and continually improving methodologies, processes and documentation

  • Identify project obstacles, proactively mitigate risks and escalate and resolve issues effectively
  • Effectively identify and communicate project problems to stakeholders
  • Proactively develop solutions to project challenges
  • Engage in project initiating activities such as identify stakeholders, identifying project management approach, defining roles and responsibilities, etc.
Skills & Requirements

Training and Experience

  • A college degree in a technical or business field of study
  • 3+ years of Project Management experience
  • Experience in HR software, and/or SaaS software implementations preferred
  • PMP or related certifications is a big plus.
