Senior Manager-Revenue Recognition (US GAAP Accounting) Chartered Accountant

Job Description

Monitor and manage the Revenue Recognition process for Cvent Inc.-

Review and analyze contracts to ensure compliance with Topic ASC 605, ASC606 and 985 and related accounting pronouncements across multiple Product lines and Legal Entities

Document significant terms within each out of ordinary deal and accounting conclusions, and Responsible to ensure correct revenue accounting treatment is applied to all deals

Manage global revenue recognition policies and processes in accordance with relevant accounting literature and corporate policy and ensure consistent application

Monthly close of revenue, revenue reporting, reconciliations and analysis.

Must be able to calculate and analyze VSOE for the Company’s products and services

Prepare global Revenue Memo(s) to support internal and external reporting requirements

Support M&A; activities including due diligence and integration for certain types of transactions

Support Qtly and Annual Financial Audits for Cvent Inc.

Assist in the monitoring of internal controls to ensure integrity and proper revenue recognition with ongoing Sarbanes Oxley 404 compliance

Special projects, ad-hoc reporting and analysis, and other duties as assigned

Manage the team responsible for Revenue Recognition Process

 

Skills & Requirements

Education:

 

(UG - B.Com - Commerce) AND (CA - CA) AND (Doctorate - Any Doctorate - Any Specialization, Doctorate Not Required)

 

 A qualified Chartered Accountant with 9-12 years of Accounting experience preferably with Big 4

Public company/SEC reporting experience required

Be highly motivated, results oriented, able to perform independently and effectively, with the ability to drive continuous improvement.

Superb attention to detail yet possesses an understanding of the "big picture

Must be experience with "Software Revenue Recognition"

Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and able to work well with a team

Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency

Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment

A proven background in leadership and management of a company’s accounting function

Proficient in Microsoft Office products however strong Excel skills required

Experience using Oracle 11i a plus
