Zubin Nagpal

Zubin joined Vista Equity Partners in 2019.

He is a member of the private equity Foundation team. Zubin partners with management teams across the Foundation Fund portfolio to scale midmarket software and technology-enabled businesses through repeatable, data-driven operating models.

Previously, Zubin served as a leader on Vista’s Value Creation Director team, working closely with executives to accelerate growth, strengthen operating discipline and build scalable organizations. He has partnered with CEOs and executive teams across numerous portfolio companies, including AlertMedia, Aptean, Critical Start, Kibo Commerce, Sonatype, StarRez, TRG Screen, Vena Solutions and Zego (Powered by PayLease), initiatives spanning go-to-market strategy and execution, operational excellence, financial performance and enterprise scaling.

Prior to joining Vista, Zubin was a consultant at McKinsey & Company in New York, where he advised clients across the technology, media and telecommunications sectors, as well as the firm’s Recovery & Transformation Services practice, on growth strategy, operational improvement and business transformation.

Before McKinsey, Zubin was a founding member of Home Lending Source, a financial services roll-up that grew from approximately $10 million to $70 million in run-rate revenue through a disciplined, repeatable acquisition and integration strategy before its successful sale to a strategic acquirer.

Earlier in his career, Zubin worked at Nine Rivers Capital, a lower-middle-market private equity firm focused on high-value engineering companies in India, where he supported investment sourcing, due diligence and portfolio value creation initiatives for founder-led and growth-stage businesses.
