QA Engineer II

JOB FAMILY SUMMARY:The QA Engineer II works with developers and business application users to develop comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases, including the use of automation, performance and test management tools. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts and programs for testing. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action. Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems.JOB SUMMARY:QA II is responsible for testing MINDBODY applications, diagnosing problems and reporting bugs. QA II has prior experience with testing, excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and communication skills. In addition, QA II has an understanding of the MINDBODY technologies and products.
Skills & Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 3+ years of industry experience in testing web applications and/or large scale enterprise products
  • Demonstrated sense of ownership of completion
  • Passion for troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Familiar with SDLC and QA principles
  • Familiar with Agile methodology
  • Has good overall understanding of MINDBODY applications including hands-on experience with SQL and relational database

 PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains, updates and executes existing test cases
  • Works independently on small projects
  • Updates test plan and creates new test cases (all work must be reviewed by a manager or Sr. QA)
  • Works on projects of moderate complexity
  • Must have good software troubleshooting skills
  • Escalates to manager when issues arise
  • Must be able to quickly understand and incorporate new technologies and services
  • Executes documented test cases and log defects found by the test cases in TFS
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
