Customer Support Specialist I - Accounting - January 2020 Start

Vertafore is looking for a Customer Support Specialist (CSS), Accounting Support to combine their experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping in a call center environment to support cutting-edge software solutions. You will be directly impacting the insurance agencies’ ability to improve productivity, manage account needs, standardize and streamline processes, as well as capture data for strategic decision-making.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides a best effort to answer or resolve a Customer query or issue on the first contact
  • Provides clear and concise documentation on Customer reported issues, and subsequent resolution
  • Completes other duties as assigned by manager
Skills & Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer support experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting computer software, networks and operating systems. Knowledge and/or experience with database platforms a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products.
  • Accounting/Bookkeeping experience
  • Experience supporting customers thru a variety of contact channels including chat, email and phone.
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking encouraged.
  •  In-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting areas (but not limited to) such as journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledgers and invoicing 
  • Accounting degree preferred
