They come to cultivate it.The Accounting Intern will report to the Accounting Manager and work directly with multiple members of the Accounting Team, including Staff and Senior Accountants. They will assist with various day-to-
day tasks across accounting disciplines as well as participate in department projects. Candidates for
this position should have a basic understanding of accounting principles under US GAAP, be
organized, a self-starter, and excited to contribute. This position offers exposure to various types of
accounting including revenue, financial reporting, tax, fixed assets, internal controls, accounts
payable and is a great opportunity to learn and work with various team members.

Job Functions:
● Assist with testing internal controls over financial reporting by developing detailed test plans,
executing audit & control testing procedures, and presenting audit results to business leaders
● Analyze fixed asset transfers and investigate any discrepancies between the subledger and GL
● Support the preparation of various tax returns and state apportionments across multiple
● Analyze accounts payable process to identify efficiencies
● Review and summarize contract terms
● Assist in compiling documentation for various statutory audits
● Perform special projects as assigned by management

Skills & Requirements

Essential Qualifications:
● Pursuing an accounting or business degree and graduating in the next 12-18 months
● GPA of at least 3.2
● Completion of at least one intermediate accounting course
● Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
● Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
● Candidate must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn
